Subject: *Seeking Support to Address Unethical Activities within the Masjid : Jamia Masjid Noor Huddersfield

Assalamu Alaikum Respected Brothers & sisters ,
I hope this message finds you well. I am writing on behalf of Thorton Lodge Community to bring to your attention to matter's of great concern within the community, specifically regarding deceiving behaviour of the Masjid Committee towards two Respected Muazzins of our Masjid . The above mentioned Muazzins & prayer Callers were first told that they are also part of the Masjid Committee. But the reality of the matter came to knowledge roughly two years later that they were not part of the official Masjid Committee right from the start.
The Thorton Lodge Community kindly request your support in signing the petition, as together, we can strive for positive change and protect the sanctity of our sacred place of worship.

Background:
The masjid, a sanctuary meant to foster unity and spiritual growth, is currently facing a long going severe crisis. It has come to our attention that the current committee, who are unlawfully occupying their positions for many years, have been engaging in a multitude of unethical activities.
However, the current committee is forcefully holding onto their positions, disregarding the trust and faith the community has placed in them.

The allegations against the committee members are deeply troubling

. It is reported :

They are not by any chance showing any clarity with regards to the dealing of public funds .

The present committee is based of 3 immediate family members and 3 extended family & close friends only . Not representing the wider community at all.

There is no constitution in place for the running of the Masjid affairs .

Dismissal of Respected Imam's Ulama & teachers as they wish.

Lack of consultation in matters with the public

At present a Committee Member Mr AbdulRehman Ali ( the son of the chairman of the Mosque Committee ) is the principal of the Maktab system who is also taking a wage. This is severe conflict of interest.

Moreover, their attitude towards the community members is far from the Islamic principles of kindness, compassion, and respect.

Anyone who dares to approach them with concerns is met with silence, rudeness & provoking behaviour.

This behavior not only violates the sanctity of our masjid but also undermines the trust and unity within our community.

Call to Action:

In order to address this critical issue and restore the true spirit of our masjid, we must come together as a united front.

The Thorton Lodge Community at large urge's you to sign the petition, which aims to formally address these concerns and demand a fair and transparent investigation into the committee's actions.

By signing this petition and encouraging others to do the same, the local community can gather a substantial number of signatures and present a strong case to the relevant authorities, compelling them to take action.

Let us remember that our masjid is a symbol of unity, love, and guidance. It should be a place where everyone feels safe, respected, and valued. Together, we can create a positive change, and restore the true essence of the masjid.
