  • Stop Florida Bill, Beach safety absorption “SB 1588”
Our beaches will be ruined, because law enforcement doesn’t have the proper training to deal with taking care of the beach. Tons of hardworking people who love our beaches will be put out of work by signing/passing this bill, some of these Men and women have spent there whole lives taking care of our beaches and this is how we repay them. Volusia county is know for its beautiful beaches, but people won’t come if it is not safe for them and there family by doing this we will loose many tourists who love to come and enjoy our beaches, Once again we humbly ask you to support local control of beach safety,
Sincerely, Hope Neal

  • COP28 must commit to rural peoples' demands for food, land and climate justice
If humanity is to survive and thrive, people's rights and sovereignty must be the center of sustainable development - not the narrow profit interests of big corporations. The COP28 climate talks is an opportunity for rural peoples to demand reforms that can help stop their communities' displacement, people's hunger, and the planet's destruction.

  • Against Proposed Rotary Park Hiking Trails Non-Motorized Pathway
Rotary Park is considered a "Nature Reserve". By definition a "Nature Reserve" is a tract of land managed so as to preserve its flora, fauna, and physical features. People come to walk through the woods to enjoy nature, escape the city, walk their dogs, take photos, hike with family and friends, explore, etc. It is Livonia's GEM. People don't come here to walk on gravel. They want to walk through the leaves in the Fall, the muck in the Spring with their nice rain-boots on to see the Robins and the wildflowers blooming. Those small moments make up the human experience, and they aren't so small once you think about it. Livonia Parks and Rec. should focus on what the actual problems are before trying to add more. Once you ruin something, you can never take it back. It is ruined forever. Next Parks and Recreation Commission meeting is March 1st 2023, at 7:00pm at the Community Center Conference Room at the Kirksey Recreation Center.

  • Improve health and saftey for Sandy Cove Residents
WHEN THE ESTATE WAS BEING BUILT MANY YEARS AGO THE BUILDER WAS PAID BY RESIDENTS TO BUILD A ROAD SYSTEM AND DRAINAGE ALONG WITH STREET LIGHTING AND GREEN AREAS. THIS WAS TO BECOME THE FIRST GARDEN VILLAGE IN WALES. SADLY THE BUILDER AND THE MONEY BOTH DISAPPEARED LEAVING THE WORK UNDONE. SINCE THEN YEARS OF DIFFERENT RESIDENTS HAVE TRIED TO WORK ALONGSIDE THE COUNCIL TO MAKE THE ESTATE SAFE FOR RESISIDENTS. MANY DIFFERENT RESIDENTS AND COUCILS HAVE BEEN AND GONE LEAVING THE ESTATE TO DETERIORATE AND BECOME AN UNHEALTHY,UNSAFE & AND FORGOTTEN PLACE THAT EVEN UNDERTAKERS DO NOT WANT TO COME ON THE ESTATE BECAUSE OF THE STATE OF THE ROADS. WE ARE NOT EXPECTING THE WORK TO BE DONE FOR NOTHING WE KNOW WE WILL HAVE TO PAY TOWARDS THE COST OF THE WORK BUT IT WOULD BE WONDERFUL TO IMPROVE THE ESTATE, MAKING IT ONCE AGAIN A HEALTHY, SAFE PLACE TO LIVE AND FOR IT TO TRULY BECOME THE GARDEN VILLAGE OF WALES IT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE.

  • Allow owning chickens in Crown Point, In.
The CDC, USDA, and the NIH have all released reports of growing concerns for global food insecurity due to the impact of climate change. The CDC reports that nutritional value of food is projected to decline due to soil nitrogen levels being suboptimal. Farmers are expected to use more herbicides and pesticides due to increased growth of pests and weeds. As a result, farmers, farmworkers, and consumers will be increasingly exposed to these substances and their residues, which can be toxic. These impacts of climate change on the nutritional value of food exist within a larger context. The CDC recommends adaptation activities to reduce health related impacts of the anticipated food security challenges. Changing the way we go about agricultural practices, food distribution systems, and consumer food choices, also play key roles in solving the global crisis. The USDA also reports that climate change is very likely to affect global, regional, and local food security by disrupting food availability, decreasing access to food, and making utilization more difficult. As part of a highly integrated global food system, consumers and producers in the United States are likely to be affected by these changes. Adaptation across the food system has great potential to manage climate-change effects on food security, and the complexity of the food system offers multiple potential points of intervention for decision makers at every level, from households to nations and international governance structures. The right to have backyard chickens/chicken coops is part and parcel of Crown Point citizens’ right to self sustaining and environmentally sound living practices. Creating a new ordinance that allows residents of Crown Point to own egg laying chickens and coops, is an easy solution to a global concern. Chickens provide a chemical free and organic food supply with high nutrient and protein value to my children at very little cost and work. It is the citizens right to self-determination to procure a secure source of healthy and nutritious food. Chickens are a necessary element to environmentally friendly, self-sustaining gardening practices that promote healthy food security. Food security is a fundamental human right, that is paramount to the health and wellbeing of the citizens of Crown Point.

  • Defund the ULEZ and Get Khan in Court!
The ULEZ scheme will instantly wipe out the value of what is for many people a hard earned capital item they rely on to transport them to work, school, to care for children and elderly parents, social, volunteer and leisure activities, emergency medical visits, medical appointments and so on. Attacking someone's person by launching policies which devalue their assets is unlawful behaviour. The people most affected by the scheme are also the most vulnerable since they are the least able to afford a so-called compliant vehicle let alone the extortionate £12.50 ULEZ charge each time they want or need to travel. Although Khan claims that only 8% of car owners in the expansion zone drive non-compliant cars, the true figure is more like 40% including those who don't have a voice such as children and sick people reliant on others to drive them places to access life in general, plus penalising the poorest members of society who will see their cars devalued overnight. Such wilful harming of people by those in public office is unlawful at the best of times but at the current time, when people are struggling to pay bills and businesses are attempting to recover following the impact of lock downs is a particularly heinous crime against the people. As things stand, Health, Education and Social Care are already finding it difficult to recruit Nurses, Teachers and Care Workers in the capital due to the exorbitant ULEZ charge. This recruitment problem will extend to the outer London Boroughs if the ULEZ is expanded which will be disastrous for Havering where there are a high number of elderly residents requiring Care Workers. ULEZ expansion will not only affect Havering residents, but also anyone outside of London in a non-compliant vehicle visiting Havering for business, work, social or domestic purposes. Many grandparents will be unable to afford to travel to help with childcare: nor will people be able to afford visits to elderly relatives if they have to pay £12.50 for each journey. The resulting poverty and social isolation will affect the physical, mental and economic health of the people by reducing their autonomy, restricting their freedom of movement and limiting their opportunities (all of which are breaches of Human Rights) resulting in reduced quality of life and dependency on welfare support. Car drivers already pay a premium in road tax to cover carbon emissions so ULEZ charges are an unlawful attempt at impoverishing car owners by taxing them off the road. Current Road Tax entitles all drivers to freedom of movement with which no government has the right to interfere. Thus Central government who are responsible for funding the ULEZ rollout and Local government currently alleging they are powerless to prevent its expansion are all attempting to coerce the public into acting against their own interests. We the people of Havering see through this deception and assert our democratic right to insist you mount a legal challenge against Sadiq Khan and that you lobby Parliament to withdraw the budget for the rollout of the ULEZ expansion.

  • Better Safeguarding for Cavendish Primary School
in the last 10 months i have had to take my son to a&e to have his head glued up and his finger reattached. His head was a success but his finger ? not quite so. He is traumatised from this and keeps stating with up most certainty that he is not going back to this school, this is something i am not willing to argue against as i feel as tho my son is not safe whilst under Cavendish Primary Schools supervision. Although i will commend the Nursery Section for being Outstanding in every way. As its an emotional subject id rather not put it all on paper but please feel free to ask any questions.

  • Remove cycle lanes from Brockburn and Braidcraft Roads. Glasgow
These cycle lanes are causing delays and disruption to local residents due to long queues of traffic. This creates extra pollution in the area as vehicles are stationary with engines running for prolonged periods of time. Emergency vehicles are also regularly delayed due to traffic congestion.
